Artist Instructions for Submission for Artist Page on Website

If you have pieces already on the SAQA Oregon website from prior SAQA Oregon shows you do not need to resubmit those images.  I will be linking those to your page. If you need any of the information changed email: info@saqaoregon.com otherwise they will be linked as currently displayed on the site.

This is your artist page so you can submit quality images of any form of artwork that you feel best shows your work as an artist.  (Audience appropriate) Ideally, we are looking for fiber pieces but it does not have to be a standard rod pocket quilt. You may include stretched work or installations.

A title and dimensions are required for each piece.

You may post 2D and 3D work.  Please enter 3D work dimensions as HxWxD

Preferably enter the main materials and techniques.  This is a list; not sentence form. Please limit to major info to conserve space: roughly 10 max per list.

Artist Statement is not required but you may include if you would like.  100 word maximum; no minimum

Images should be in focus, properly exposed, and evenly lit. No part of the quilt should be in shadow. The quilt should be the only item visible in the image other than a white or black background.    

It is recommended that you submit a full image and a detailed image of each piece.  However, if you choose; you can send only full images. The concept is to best show your work.  If a detail shot doesn’t give the viewer additional information you can opt not to submit the detail.  Full-view images of the quilt should show all the quilt edges. Make sure that both the full-view and detail images are oriented correctly.

File format should be JPEG (no TIFF files), saved at maximum quality (minimum compression) 

The longest side of the “live” area of the artwork (not including background) should be at least 2100 pixels. Larger is fine so long as the longest side of the overall image does not exceed 4200 pixels. 

Select the word ‘UPLOAD’ on the form to submit your images.  Please label the images to signify Image 01, Image 02, etc.  Upload links you to Dropbox. There is a help button at the bottom of the popup if you are new to using Dropbox. If you need additional help using Dropbox please email: info@saqaoregon.com

Please have your images and information ready prior to beginning the form. The form does not save for you to return to it later. If you accidentally press submit prior to uploading images or finishing the form, DON’T PANIC. You can open a new form and enter just your name and email address. Then skip down to upload images or if you stopped mid-form you can start entering information where you stopped on the previous form. You do not have to go back and refill the whole form as the previous partial submital was recorded.
