“Every Stitch a Story” is the theme and will be explored by Alaskan artist Amy Meissner as the featured speaker. As part of the day-long events, there will be breakout sessions on creativity and a panel discussion on working in tandem with another artist.
Registration will open July 1 - $80 for SAQA members, $90 for non-SAQA members on the sAQA website. The price includes lunch and a continental-style breakfast.
If you need to Cancel Your Registration for any reason, the last day to do so for a Partial refund is September 30th. Cancellations of registration prior to September 30th may receive a reimbursement of their conference registration fee minus a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Cancellations of Registration after the 30th are nonrefundable.
The site of the conference is the beautiful Five Pine Lodge in Sisters, Oregon.
A 6 Hour workshop with Amy Meissner will be offered for 20 people following the conference on Friday, Oct. 15th for an additional $75 per person. you may register for the workshop when you sign up for the conference.
Workshop Details:
“The Ghost in the Cloth”
“Participants work with vintage cloth, found objects and text, honoring the handwork of known or unknown original makers by re-marking and coaxing invisible narratives from textiles.”

once the workshop Enrollment Limit of 20 People has been reached you will be directed to contact Sue Redhead if you wish to sign up for the waitlist.
If you cannot attend the workshop no refund will be made. A waitlist will be maintained by Sue Redhead and cancellations will be filled on a first-come basis from the waitlist.
The day prior to the conference, Wednesday, Oct. 13th, there will be self-guided studio tours. The night of the conference you can opt to Dine Out with other SAQA members at reserved local restaurants. (More information on this to follow.)
Central Oregon is exceptionally beautiful in the autumn, you may want to allow yourself extra time to explore.
